Finding the luxury SUV that not only meets your needs but exceeds them can be a frustrating process when there are so many models on the market to sort through. Here at Warren Henry INFINITI, we want the vehicle buying process to be exciting and stress-free which is why we had our team create this comparison review. They have quickly narrowed down the segment to two of the most popular and anticipated models, the INFINITI QX55 and the BMW X4. Keep reading below to learn more about these models as we compare them side-by-side and find out which one we think is worth your time and money!

INFINITI QX55 Power & Handling

Under the hood of the QX55, drivers will find a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that pumps out 268 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. This engine can vary its compression ratio and it is the only one in the segment with this technology. This means that the INFINITI SUV can run a higher compression ratio to maximize the fuel efficiency when accelerating and drop the compression ratio when that kind of power is not needed. This engine also boasts a Driver Mode Selector with three programmable settings: Standard, Eco, Sport and Personal, that allows the driver to tailor the driving experience to their wants and needs. All power is sent to all four wheels with AWD through a continuously variable transmission.

BMW X4 Power & Handling

There are two engines powering the BMW X4. The base engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that generates 248 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The second engine offered is a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 that cranks out 382 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

INFINITI QX55 Features & Design

The QX55 is offered in three trim levels, the LUXE, ESSENTIAL and SENSORY. Features include open-pore wood trim, a dual-touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, standard Android Auto, multiple USB ports, a premium Bose sound system, three leather upholstery options, and sliding second-row seats that adjust for additional leg room or cargo room. The QX55 also comes outfitted with a ton of driver aids including lane departure warning, forward collision mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, rear automatic braking, and ProPilot Assist.

BMW X4 Features & Design

There are two trim levels offered for the X4. They come outfitted with features like a 10.3-inch touch screen 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, navigation, a power liftgate, Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, and forward collision warning with automated emergency braking. Many of the features you are looking for a tucked away in expensive packages.
